Research Vessel Atlantis Conducting Surface to Depth Operations in the South Pacific Ocean

The Peruvian Maritime Safety Information Coordinator has announced that the research vessel (R/V) Atlantis will be conducting surface to depth operations from November 24, 2022, at 23:09:00 UTC to December 24, 2022, at 20:09:00 UTC. The operations will take place in a 110 nautical mile radius at coordinates 18-35S, 113-21W in the South Pacific Ocean.



The R/V Atlantis is a renowned research vessel that has been involved in various scientific expeditions and studies worldwide. The vessel's operations in the South Pacific Ocean aim to gather valuable data on surface to depth phenomena, contributing to a better understanding of the ocean's behavior and its impact on the environment.

The Peruvian Maritime Safety Information Coordinator advises all vessels in the area to exercise caution and navigate with care, keeping a safe distance from the R/V Atlantis during this period.
