The United States Coast Guard Sector North Carolina is searching for the sailing vessel Ceol Mor, which issued a distress call on Friday, November 22nd, 2024, at approximately 10:30 AM UTC (3:34 AM EST).


Details of the Vessel:

  • Name: Ceol Mor
  • Type: 42-foot Totoosh Sloop
  • Description: White hull with blue trim, light blue bottom, white bimini top and dodger, orange kayak mounted on starboard side
  • Last Known Location: Passage from Hampton, VA to Beaufort, NC
  • People on Board: 1 (Mark Carroll)

The Coast Guard has not received any further communication from Ceol Mor since the initial distress call. Search efforts are currently underway.
