Missing Fishing Vessel 'Optimum' - Urgent Mayday Relay from MRCC Fort-de-France

 The Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC) in Fort-de-France, Martinique, has issued a Mayday relay for the missing fishing vessel 'Optimum.' The 9.5-meter boat, flying the flag of Montserrat, was last seen departing from Montserrat Island on August 28 at 0630 local time, heading east of the island.


According to MRCC Fort-de-France, there are concerns about the vessel's safety equipment, as none is reported to be onboard. The boat has a white hull and carries one person (Pob 01). Ships in the vicinity of Montserrat Island are requested to maintain a sharp lookout and report any information related to the 'Optimum' to MRCC Fort-de-France immediately.

Sailing Yacht Sunbeam Overdue – Italian Coast Guard Issues Search and Rescue Alert

  UPDATE 08 Sptempber 2024: The vessel was located in the port of Denia. Alarm no longer active. With the post on Facebook the captain lets us know that they are fine: Oisin Margey Hi, I am the captain of Sunbeam. We are fine and currently approaching the East Coast of Spain.
