Update: Tragic Developments in Mediterranean Search and Rescue Operation

– The Italian Coast Guard has reported tragic updates in the ongoing search and rescue (SAR) operation for a sailing vessel carrying migrants in the Mediterranean Sea.

According to recent reports, a shipwreck occurred in the Ionian Sea, resulting in significant loss of life. As of now, 64 individuals are reported missing, while 11 migrants have been rescued by the Coast Guard. The nationalities of those on board included Afghans, Iranians, and Iraqi Kurds.
