SpaceX Reports Potential Debris in South Pacific Ocean from June 8-14, 2024

 The Peruvian Maritime Safety Information Coordinator, under the direction of Hidrografía y Navegación-Lima-Perú, has issued a safety warning for the maritime area in Navarea XVI. SpaceX has reported potential debris in the South Pacific Ocean from June 8-14, 2024, between 0905 and 1607 UTC. The affected maritime area is bounded by the following coordinates:



* A: 34-20S, 090-24W

* B: 31-22S, 090-24W

* C: 00-10S, 115-17W

* D: 01-19S, 116-54W



This warning is in effect until 141707 UTC on June 24, 2024. Mariners are advised to exercise caution and avoid the affected area if possible. For more information and updates, visit the official website of Hidrografía y Navegación-Lima-Perú.

Sailing Yacht Sunbeam Overdue – Italian Coast Guard Issues Search and Rescue Alert

  UPDATE 08 Sptempber 2024: The vessel was located in the port of Denia. Alarm no longer active. With the post on Facebook the captain lets us know that they are fine: Oisin Margey Hi, I am the captain of Sunbeam. We are fine and currently approaching the East Coast of Spain.
