Search Underway for Overdue Sailing Vessel S/V Sunshine 2

June 24, 2024 - Rescue coordinators are searching for the overdue sailing vessel S/V Sunshine 2, which departed Sint Maarten on June 10th and was expected to arrive in Bermuda.

According to a notification received by RCC Norfolk on June 24th at 18:04 UTC (2:04 PM EDT), the S/V Sunshine 2 is a Gulf Stream 42ft ketch with a white hull and black trim. No further details about the number of people on board are currently available.

RCC Norfolk is requesting any vessels transiting the area between Sint Maarten and Bermuda to keep a sharp lookout for the S/V Sunshine 2 and to report any sightings to RCC Norfolk immediately.
