Mumbai, India - May 30, 2024 - An update has been received from the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) Mumbai regarding the search and rescue operation for the Indian cargo vessel Safina Al Zilani (BDI-284), which sank in the Arabian Sea.

One crew member missing

According to a message received from Inmarsat at 03:14 UTC today, May 30, 2024, eight crew members of the Safina Al Zilani have been rescued, while one remains missing. The search for the missing crew member is ongoing.
