Details:

  • A distress alert was received via COSPAS-SARSAT at 28°11'41" North (45°46.7N) and 09°51.7' West (009°51.7W) by the United Kingdom Coastguard.
  • The alert originated from a Spanish Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) with identification number one.
  • The exact nature of the distress and assistance required are currently unknown.

Request for Assistance:

Vessels in the vicinity of the distress position (45°46.7N, 009°51.7W) are requested to proceed to the location and attempt to establish contact with the source of the distress alert. They should determine the nature of the distress and what assistance is needed.

Reporting Information:

Any vessel that is able to assist or that has information about the situation is requested to report to the United Kingdom Coastguard.

Sailing Yacht Sunbeam Overdue – Italian Coast Guard Issues Search and Rescue Alert

  UPDATE 08 Sptempber 2024: The vessel was located in the port of Denia. Alarm no longer active. With the post on Facebook the captain lets us know that they are fine: Oisin Margey Hi, I am the captain of Sunbeam. We are fine and currently approaching the East Coast of Spain.
