Alert issued for 55-foot vessel Aurora in distress off the coast of Puerto Rico

May 24, 2024 - The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is currently responding to a distress alert for the 55-foot white vessel Aurora with a blue canvas top. The vessel issued a 406 MHz EPIRB alert at approximately 11:59 AM UTC on May 24, 2024, from a position of 22° 43.600′ North and 64° 58.500′ West, approximately 25 miles north of San Juan, Puerto Rico.
