Explosion Near Merchant Vessel Reported Off the Coast of Yemen

 The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) has announced that it received a report of an incident occurring 54 nautical miles northwest of Al Mukha, Yemen. According to UKMTO's Update 001, the explosion took place in close proximity to a Merchant Vessel, but the vessel and its crew are reported safe.


The exact cause of the explosion remains unclear at this time, and further investigations are underway. The incident serves as a reminder of the potential dangers and risks in the region, particularly for maritime activities.

Sailing Yacht Sunbeam Overdue – Italian Coast Guard Issues Search and Rescue Alert

  UPDATE 08 Sptempber 2024: The vessel was located in the port of Denia. Alarm no longer active. With the post on Facebook the captain lets us know that they are fine: Oisin Margey Hi, I am the captain of Sunbeam. We are fine and currently approaching the East Coast of Spain.
