On April 11, United States Central Command (CENTCOM) forces successfully engaged and destroyed an anti-ship ballistic missile (ASBM) launched from Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist-controlled areas in Yemen. The ASBM posed an imminent threat to U.S., coalition, and merchant vessels in the region.
The engagement took place at approximately 1:00 p.m. (Sanaa time) over the Red Sea. No injuries or damage were reported on U.S., coalition, or commercial ships as a result of the incident.
