Attack on Merchant Vessel off Yemen Coast (Update)

 A merchant vessel has been the target of an explosive attack off the coast of Yemen, northwest of Al Mukha. No damage to the vessel or crew has been reported.


According to the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), the explosion occurred in the vicinity of the merchant vessel at 07:02 UTC today, April 29, 2024. The alarm was raised by the company's security officer.

Authorities are investigating the incident.

UKMTO recommends that all vessels navigate with caution in the area and report any suspicious activity.

Sailing Yacht Sunbeam Overdue – Italian Coast Guard Issues Search and Rescue Alert

  UPDATE 08 Sptempber 2024: The vessel was located in the port of Denia. Alarm no longer active. With the post on Facebook the captain lets us know that they are fine: Oisin Margey Hi, I am the captain of Sunbeam. We are fine and currently approaching the East Coast of Spain.
