A search and rescue operation is underway in the Mediterranean Sea for the oil products tanker "Mariza N," following a distress alert received by the Joint Rescue Coordination Center (JRCC) Piraeus, Greece, on March 2nd, 2024, at 5:50 pm UTC.

JRCC Piraeus is coordinating the search and rescue effort with JRCC Libya. They are requesting assistance from all ships in the area, within a radius of 50 nautical miles around 34° 00' N 23° 00' E, to keep a sharp lookout for the "Mariza N" and report any sightings to the JRCCs.
